Therapeutic Yoga: Healing Movement
with Edith Lazenby
Thursdays, September 23rd to November 18th
8:00pm to 9:00pm
We find creative ways to connect with our self and each other by opening the body gently and with mindfulness. Using various props, from tennis balls to chairs, to blankets and bolsters, students will experience their body in a way that supports and gives back to them on all levels. As we relax, release and open the body, so too the heart can open and soften, and a deep sense of well-being on all levels is possible. Using the breath in a conscious way to root the student in the moment and let go of whatever no longer serves, we will take various yoga poses and use them to explore range of motion and range of feeling in both dynamic movement and in stillness. Come have fun and celebrate being in this class intended for those who may not venture elsewhere due to injury, a special condition, or for those who’ve never quite felt at home in their body, whether moving or not.
