Anna’s journey with yoga began in South India, where she explored the ancient traditions of Ayurveda and Vipassana meditation. Saluting the sun in the land where yoga was born revealed to her not only spiritual dimensions, but also the medicinal value of yoga for healing. After obtaining her RYT 200 certification through Blue Heron Wellness and becoming a licensed social worker, Anna has used trauma-sensitive yoga as a compliment to clinical therapies. Her eclectic blend of Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin modalities enable students to cultivate awareness of self in relation to somatic experience, facilitating deep release and energy transformation via focused breath and movement. Anna believes the body speaks through sensation, and yoga is a gift that helps us listen to this voice and tend to its messages.

Donna Britt first took yoga 15 years ago in Mexico and fell in love with its beauty, precision and spirituality. After studying Iyengar and vinyasa flow yoga locally for several years, she learned that her favorite yoga teacher was moving out of the state. Britt was flattered--and terrified--when the teacher asked if she'd like to take over teaching her class. After training with Yogafit, Britt taught yoga for three years at White Oak Sport & Health and a number of private clients. She is a member of the International Association of Black Yoga Instructors.

Hannah's Clients Say:

"Hannah had a beautiful , gentle and reflective manner of presenting mild yoga and meditation for her New Year’s Eve workshop. She incorporated mind body spirit and social connection in the practice using deep relaxation, guided meditation in a circular seating arrangement and shared some personal thoughts along with a lovely poem. In additiin, near the end of the workshop, she passed around dates and chi tea after which we all shared a meaningful word with one another. I was also very impressed with her kind gesture of recording our ending OM chant for Peter who was unable to teach with her because of ill health. In conclusion it was a very uplifting and relaxing way to close out 2017. You are blessed to have Hannah as a teacher at Blue Heron." Marsha O, 12/31/17

"Lovely TGIF class on Friday with Hannah. Just what I needed to end the week. Easy asananas then restore and relax." Jane G.
