Blue Heron Wellness Acupuncturists

Jonathan Bronson
M. Ac., L. Ac.
Jonathan was graduated from Maryland University of Integrated Health (formerly Tai Sophia) in October of 2013. Since that time Jonathan has been treating people with acute and chronic pain of all sorts to begin to reclaim their equilibrium and wellbeing. Acupuncture, like all facets of Chinese Medicine, is a process oriented Medicine.  Jonathan will be there each step of the way to offer compassion, guidance, and collaboration where other modalities may be indicated. One patient had this to say about her time working with him: “Thank you for the higher quality of life you’ve helped me achieve.” Jonathan’s hope is to assist you toward that same goal.

Chichio Hand
R.N., M.Ac., L.Ac.
Chichio began to study the art of acupuncture after she found that her own body was not responding to western medical treatments. Chinese medicine had a profound impact on her healing and she was so enthralled with the results that she decided that she had to be a part of acupuncture’s healing circle. As a Registered Nurse with strictly western medical training, it was at first daunting to make the switch but as she witnessed more and more dramatic, powerful and wonderful changes in patients, she knew she had made the right choice.
Chichio received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and her masters degree in Acupuncture from the TAI Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts, in Laurel, Maryland, the oldest accredited acupuncture school in the United States. She also has a certificate in Chinese Dietary and Nutrition. Chichio continues her studies with world renowned acupuncturist and 88th generation Daoist priest, Jeffrey Yuen. She also regularly attends seminars to expand her knowledge of Chinese traditional healing, concentrating on weight loss, preventive care for cancer, fertility and other chronic diseases that are so prevalent in our country today. Chichio is also certified in facial rejuvenation acupuncture.
Chichio’s enthusiasm and strong desire to create wellness for herself and her patients is enhanced by her many years of practicing as a registered nurse. She is known to create special bonds with her patients in both modalities and has received many accolades for her caring and compassion.

Jan Hatfield-Goldman
M.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac.
Jan is a state and national board-certified acupuncturist. She holds a Master of Acupuncture (M.Ac.) degree from Maryland University of Integrative Health. In addition, she is a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, and holds certificates in pain management and acupuncture support for the cancer patient.
Growing up with a physician for a parent, Jan always held a deep interest in the science of the body, and in healing outcomes. And like many who find their way to acupuncture, Jan first experienced healing when seeking relief for her own low back pain years ago while working in corporate America. Acupuncture had a profound effect on her: not only did her back pain resolve over time, but she also witnessed additional and immediate advantages which included better and more restful sleep, increased energy and a more relaxed state of being. That experience, along with her desire to share with others the benefits of acupuncture, helped to drive her change in careers.
Jan is a compassionate practitioner and a thoughtful listener who takes the time to learn about her patients. Her “whole life” view on wellness brings together her desire to help her patients live healthier and happier lives with the goal of empowering them to take an active role in their own healing process. She provides support and services to clients living with a variety of conditions including:
Cancer, Gastrointestinal issues, Migraines, Musculoskeletal pain, Sleep disorders, Stress, Anxiety and
